Our CMCJ journey begins on the 24th. You may arrive in Japan a few days earlier to start your own journey and get ready for our upcoming special journey. There are many different experiences available in Tokyo, and we are happy to assis you in planning your optional activities to suit your preferences.

CMCJ Private Concert at Kenchoji Temple

NOVEMBER 19th / KAMAKURA

Upon arrival at the temple, the monk will welcome you and offer you a cultural experience unique to the area. Please enjoy a cocktail party amidst the solemn atmosphere of the temple. Enjoy the concert in this historic space, which is also famous as an important cultural asset in Japan. Following the concert, indulge in a dinner accompanied by musicians.

NOVEMBER 20th / KAMAKURA

Kamakura is a beautiful and historic city located only an hour away from Tokyo. Kamakura is famous for the Great Buddha and has many historical shrines, temples, and buildings. Surrounded by mountains and the sea, the rich natural environment is another of Kamakura's attractions. You can enjoy a stroll and a zazen experience inKamakura, a city full of history and nature.

NOVEMBER 20th / TOKYO

Three internationally acclaimed musicians, pianist Ryutaro Suzuki, violinist Arata Yumi, and cellist Ayano Kamimura, will perform in a Tokyo hall. and a violinist Arata Yumi, will perform a concert in Tokyo. We hope you will enjoy the wonderful music in the great concert halls of Japan.

Toraya

NOVEMBER 22nd / TOKYO

Toraya is a long-established Japanese confectioner with a 400-year history. At Toraya Akasaka, visitors can have a look at the making scene of confection through a glass window and enjoy a variety of confections exclusive to the Akasaka store, as well as meals made with ingredients used in Japanese confectionery.

CMCJ Salon Concert
& Cocktail Party

NOVEMBER 23rd / TOKYO

Two internationally acclaimed musicians, a pianist Ryutaro Suzuki and a violinist Arata Yumi, will perform a concert in Tokyo. Otaguro Park is popular for its autumn leaves during the fall season and for the illumination of the park at night, and its traditional Japanese garden is very attractive. The cocktail party after the concert will also offer an opportunity to mingle with other classical music lovers along with delicious cocktails.

Yabusame (horseback archery) in Kamakura

NOVEMBER 24th / KAMAKURA

Experience a part of the Samurai warrior culture and spirit by viewing yabusame (horseback archery) in Kamakura.After watching horseback archery, you can enjoy a lunch that recreates a meal of the Kamakura period and chat with the archers. After the meal, you can see the Japanese-style horse harnesses.

RIEKO TSUCHIDA

PIANO

Prize-winning pianist Rieko Tsuchida has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Salle Cortot, Salle Gaveau, and the Eiffel Tower. She has also performed as a soloist with the California Symphony and won the SONY USA Foundation Grant in 2016. Ms. Tsuchida is a graduate of Peabody Conservatory and The Juilliard School.

CHRISTINA    MAXWELL

VOCAL

New York City-based singer, actress and executive. Recent performances: Festival Napa Valley, United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women, Italy alongside renowned Pasquale Esposito, New York alongside the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Additionally, Director at The Related Companies. Oversees art acquisitions and mental health strategy. Works frequently with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nippon Club and Suntory.
