Experience Japanese spirit

OCTOBER 18th 15H00 / TENKUDO

Upon arrival, you will visit Aizendo to experience the culture of burning incense as a form of Japanese hospitality. Tenkundo, a long-established incense shop in Kamakura, will be your instructor.
You will then tour the temple grounds while hearing about the temple's history from the monk.

Cocktail party in the garden

OCTOBER 18th 16H00 / KAKUENJI

Please spend time with your guests in the beautiful natural garden of Kakuenji Temple. Drinks and finger foods will be served by the chef as a pre-concert aperitivo.

Piano Duo Recital
in the Main Hall (Hondō)

OCTOBER 18th 17H00 / KAKUENJI HONDO

Thanks to the great French pianist. Michel Dalberto and his former pupil Ryutaro Suzuki at the Conservatory of Paris, we can live the unique moment through the music by Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy, who were both strongly inspired by the Japanese art especially by the Ukiyoe, the Japanese paintings.

Authentic Italian dinner
with a touch of Japan

OCTOBER 18th 18H30 / KAKUENJI HONDO

A gourmet Italian dinner will be served, with seafood from the sea around Kamakura, vegetables from local farmers and the highest quality ingredients from Japan's Satoyama in autumn. Please enjoy the authentic ltalian cuisine paired with wine, directed by the chef Kazuki Furusawa from Oltrevino in Kamakura.

After Party

OCTOBER 18th 17H00 / KAKUENJI HONDO

After dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Sernet will kindly invite us to a cocktail party at their home in Zaimokuza, Kamakura.
For those who live in Tokyo, please don't worry about the way to go back home. We have arranged taxi from their house to Kamakura station around 22H50 so that you can take trains.
We need to confirm the number of participants, so please submit the below form.

THE ARTISTS



MICHEL DALBERTO

PIANO

Born in Paris, Michel Dalberto studied with Vlado Perlemuter at the Conservatoire. After winning both the prestigious Clara Haskil and Leeds international piano competitions, he's performed with numerous leading orchestras under the baton of renowned conductors including C. Davis, Dutoit, Masur, Sawallisch, Janowski and Temirkanov, in addition to performing at various festivals including Lucerne, Aix-en-Provence and Schleswig-Holstein.

He is the only living pianist to have recorded Schubert’s piano works in its entirety. Recent recordings include Liszt, Debussy, Fauré, Ravel and Beethoven.

RYUTARO    SUZUKI

PIANO

Born in Kamakura, Japan, he moved to France in 2008 to study at the Conservatory of Paris and at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with B.Rigutto, H.Cartier-Bresson, M.Dalberto and E.Virsaladze. After winning multiple prizes, he has performed in several important festivals such as Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Festival de Nohant or Ente Musicale di Nuoro.
